Hundreds of Birds paying homage to Phoenix  (百鸟朝凤, Bai  Niao Chao Feng, SuoNa, 唢呐) was composed by Ren Tongxiang(任同祥)  from folk tunes . Originally performed by Ren Tongxiang (任同祥).  This is the best-known Suona tune, which uses Suona to imitate the sounds of various birds, depicting dynamic nature and joyous mood.

《百鸟朝凤》是一首民族传统的唢呐独奏曲,它通过唢呐音色的不同变化和小乐队的伴奏来模拟各种鸟鸣和虫叫声,形象生动而风趣,富有浓郁的生活气息。旋律优美动听,情绪欢快热烈。此曲原是流行于山东、安徽、河南、河北等地的民间乐曲。它以热情欢快的旋律与百鸟和鸣之声,表现了生气勃勃的大自然景象。1953年春,由山东省荷泽专区代表队作为唢呐独奏参加全国会演,受到热烈欢迎。后来唢呐名家任同祥在专业音乐工作者协助下,压缩鸟叫声,删去鸡叫声,并设计了一个华彩乐句,运用特殊循环换气法的长音演奏技巧,扩充了快板尾段,使全曲在热烈欢腾的气氛中结束。乐曲以热情欢快的旋律与百鸟和鸣之声,表现了生机勃勃的大自然景象。
